Moreover, this popcorn treat can be done by kids as this is an easy-to-make recipe. I am certain that they would enjoy the process. How much Time will You Need to Finish?

Basically, it will only entail 35 to 40 minutes to create 10 to 12 bags of popcorn treats. To be specific, you need 6 minutes to prepare, 5 minutes for active time, 15 minutes of cooling time, and 10 minutes for packing the treats. Simple and quick, indeed. 

What Equipment You Should Need?

For the equipment, you need to prepare the following: 

  • Parchment-lined baking sheet. This is where you will pour the popcorn and add candy melt for mixing. 
  • Piping Bags. Used to pipe the candy melts.
  • Sprinkles. To add colors to the popcorn.
  • White curling ribbon and Green Ribbon. Tools for packaging of the popcorn. 
  • Scissors. Used to curl the ribbons

What Ingredients Should You Prepare? 

On the other hand, for the ingredients, you will need the following: 

  • Popped popcorn. Use 2 bags
  • Dark green and light green candy melts. Use half a bag or 6 ounces for each color of the candy melt. 
  • Festive sprinkles. Prepare ¼ cup. Although, this ingredient is optional. 
  • Green-coated candies (chocolate or fruit)

How to Make the Luck of Irish Popcorn Treats?

Making the popcorn treat will only ask you for less than 10 steps to follow. Just begin with popping the two bags of popcorn and pour them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Next, add the candy melts to individual piping bag and heat in 30-second increments, mashing the bag after each. 

Once melted carefully cut a small piece of the tip-off and pipe melted chocolate all over the popcorn. Subsequently, immediately add sprinkles and allow to set for 15to 20 minutes. 

Break pieces apart with your hands or a spatula and they are ready for packing.

How to Pack the Popcorn Treats? 

Packing the popcorn treats is a very simple thing to do. First, just add popcorn to the bags. Second, tie with curling ribbon and use scissors to curl the ribbon. Finally, tie a bow with the green ribbon.

Chef’s Notes:

For a more coated popcorn, mix the melted chocolate and popcorn while the popcorn is still wet. This will create more of a caramel corn-type texture.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bags popped popcorn
  • 6 oz half bag of dark green candy melts
  • 6 oz half bag of light green candy melts
  • 1/4 cup festive sprinkles
  • Optional
  • green-coated candies chocolate or fruit

Instructions
 

  • Pop the two bags of popcorn
  • Pour the popcorn out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Add the candy melts to individual piping bags.
  • Heat in 30-second increments, mashing the bag after each
  • Once melted *carefully* cut a small piece of the tip-off and pipe melted chocolate all over the popcorn.
  • Immediately add sprinkles.
  • Allow to set for 15-20 mins
  • Break pieces apart with your hands or a spatula.
  • For the treat bags:
  • Add popcorn to the bags,
  • First tie with curling ribbon.
  • Use scissors to curl the ribbon
  • Tie a bow with the green ribbon
