Eggnog French toast

Equipment

  • Skillet or Electric Griddle
  • Spatula
  • Whisk
  • Medium sized bowl
  • Glass measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Texas toast
  • 5 whole eggs
  • ¼ cup eggnog
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla until well incorporated.
  • Melt butter over medium-low heat
  • Dip each bread slice on both sides.
  • Once the butter is fully melted, place the bread into the pan
  • Do not over-crowd your pan
  • Allow the bread to toast for 3-4 mins
  • I like to flip mins after 3 mins, and then ill flip it again after another 3 min, then i flip it 1 or 2 times depending on how quickly its turning golden brown due to the eggnog.
  • Remove from the pan.
  • Repeat this process for the remaining bread slices

Notes

I rinse my pan out after each batch to cool it off and keep from burning the batches that follow.
Remember to keep your heat at a medium-low to prevent burning
Tip: Setting them on a cooling rack will help keep the crispiness.
