- Parchment Paper. Use parchment paper to keep your pastry dough from sticking to different surfaces, such as your kitchen table.
- Baking Sheets. You will place your pastry dough for the danishes on the baking sheet before putting them in the oven.
- Pastry Brush. Use a pastry brush to add a coating over your danish.
- Zester. When adding lemon zest, it helps to have a zester tool to make it easier.
These are the most important items to have with your ingredients when you prepare the Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish.

The Ingredients Needed to Prepare the Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish
The ingredients you will need to have when preparing the Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish include:
- Strawberries. Use two cups of fresh strawberries. Make sure to rinse them off beforehand.
- Sugar. Measure out one cup of sugar to use in this recipe.
- Lemon Zest. Use your zester to get the zest of one lemon for your danishes.
- Puff Pastry Sheets. Make your own puff pastry or save yourself some time by purchasing the sheets at the store.
- Cream Cheese. Use your favorite brand of cream cheese to add to your danishes.

It is also necessary to have powdered sugar and milk to make the perfect sweet icing to drizzle over each Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish.
How to Store the Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish
Place parchment paper in a large food storage container. Set your Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish on top of the parchment paper, leaving a bit of space between each danish. Put the lid on the container and leave them in the kitchen or store them in the fridge. When refrigerated, the danishes tend to last up to a week long. If you do not have a container large enough to hold the danishes, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and place them in a large zipper-sealed plastic storage bag.
Different Variations of the Danish
If strawberries are not your favorite or if someone in the household has a strawberry allergy, no worries. You can remove the strawberries and keep all the other ingredients the same. You can have just cream cheese inside the danish, or you can add other fruits, such as peaches, blueberries, and apple slices. If you do not have fresh fruit, you can use pie filling with this recipe!
