Equipment You’ll Need
The equipment to use is very easy to prepare because mostly are already found in your kitchen. The tools include:
- Large Bowl, where you can mix the ingredients.
- Smaller bowl or glass measuring cup, to measure the volume of the ingredients needed for the mixture.
- Dry measuring cups, so you can measure the number of dry ingredients to pour in the mixture.
- Parchment lined, used for the mixture to avoid sticking on the sheet pan.
- Piping bags or small ziplock bags are used to decorate the reindeer’s food.
Ingredients You’ll Prepare
Likewise, there are a set of ingredients that you have to prepare for the recipes. Here they are:
- white melting wafers and Peanuts. Just a cup of each will be enough.
- pretzel sticks and Chex mix cereal. This needs to be two cups each.
- green candy melts. Just ½ cup will do.
- Holiday Sprinkles. You can have as much as you want which you think will be enough to decorate your Reindeer Food.

How to Make the Delicious Reindeer Food
Well, the steps to make this recipe are very basic. That is why it is safe for us to mainstream the kids with us in the kitchen while doing this. Are you excited? Here they are.
Begin by placing the pretzels, Chex, and peanuts into a large bowl and mix well. Followed by lacing the melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl or glass measuring cup. Melt in 30-second increments. Make sure to stir after each time, until fully melted (about 3 times).
Next, pour chocolate all over the mix and stir gently. After that, pour out onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Melt green candy melts, add to a piping bag or small ziplock bag.
Then, snip off the tip and pipe zig-zag lines of green chocolate. Add sprinkles and let sit for 45 to 60 minutes. Once the allotted time for it to sit is settled, you are ready to serve your Reindeer food. Enjoy and have fun!

Well, this recipe actually gives you the freedom to add some more ingredients that you want to the snack mix. You can add several different things to this such as chocolate candies, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, cheerios, etc.
