Airfryer Apple Pie

These crispy, sweet Air Fryer Apple Pie Cones are a kid-friendly twist on a classic dessert. Perfect for fall baking with kids—easy, fun, and delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tortillas
  • 1 cup diced green granny smith apple
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

for apple pie “icing” drizzle

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp water or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • To a sauce pan add chopped apples, brown sugar, water and cinnamon.
  • Bring to a boil for 3-4 min until apples are the tenderness of your choosing
  • Make a "slurry" by mixing the 1 tbsp corn starch with 1 tbsp water.
  • Turn off the heat and add the slurry, stirring slowly
  • Once incorporated remove from completely from the heat and Allow filling to sit as it thickens
  • Cut your tortillas in half.
  • In a small cup, mix 1 tbsp flour + 1 tbsp water to create the "glue"
  • Fold the tortilla in a cone shape, using the flour mixture as a “glue” to keep the tortilla together.
  • Add filling
  • Press the top closed with a little more glue and crimp using a fork.
  • air fry the apple pies for 5 minutes at 400F.
  • Spray with a non stick spray after they are done and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on them
  • For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, vanilla and water
  • Drizzle over and enjoy

Notes

If your glaze is too runny, add more powdered sugar
If its to thick, add a tiny bit more water
Brown sugar can be substituted for monk fruit
Tortilla can be low carb as well
